your next job designed with Speedfloor.

Step One-    Order joist.
Since Speedfloor is built to each individual job, it is important to plan ahead and order your floor as or before
you start the foundation.  Speedfloor takes about five to six weeks to produce and ship.  This is a bit of a wait
but it is more than made up in the speed of how quickly it will assemble on site.  Remember that more plan
time saves site time which saves money.

There is no additional shoring needed  and a 3 man crew can easily set and pour 2,000 sqft a day or more.

Tips and Tricks

Adjustable Bars-
Use of adjustable lock bars is needed at each end to the joist run.

Penetrations-
Use foam to set all you accesses.  This is easy to drill through or melt out for future wires and plumbing as
needed.

Forming Stairs-
Use 2x4 and clamps to form stair holes.

Forming beams-
Use dimensional lumber to form up between beams for pouring the slab.

Step Three- Set Joist
Place the joist in their proper location and space them with the "lock
bars".  By getting two in place and then setting the plywood on the lock
bars you will be able to work from the floor which is quicker and safer.
Step Four- Set mesh
After you have set all lock bars and plywood then
you are ready to place six by six mesh on the floor.
Step Two- Assemble Hangers
It is important to properly assemble the hangers on each joist.  The hanger is to
be placed on the "S" side of the joist with three bolts.  The bolt and nut go on
the joist side, and the nut goes on the hanger side. Make sure that the
indentions on the nut are out so inspectors know they are rated.
Step Five- Pour
You are now ready to pour a 3 1/2" concrete slab.  The "S" of the
joist is then moulded into the slab as reinforcement and chairs the
mesh.  The following day you come back and strip the lock bars and
plywood back out so you are left with a steel and concrete floor that
has no squeaks and no wood.
